The answer to the years in-between. It’s wildly cool for them, and wonderfully gentle for you.
It started the same way it does in most households: with a stubbornly independent three-year-old and a bottle of baby wash that simply wasn't cutting it anymore. We had officially entered “the years in between”.
Our daughter was coming home covered in playground dirt, felt tips and sweat, proudly declaring, “i'm not a baby anymore,” while reaching for my body wash. While I was navigating these daily bath time negotiations at home, my husband, a Doctor was seeing the aftermath in his clinic. He was treating children with dry and irritated skin. The culprit? Adult bathing products.
Parents, just like us, realised that baby soap couldn't scrub away big-kid grime or tame tangled hair, so they were improvising with adult formulas. Formulas packed with harsh surfactants and chemicals that young, delicate scalp and skin barriers simply aren't equipped to handle. We were stuck. We needed something tougher than baby wash, but much safer then adult wash, something specifically formulated for kids. And when we went looking for it, we realised it didn't exist. So we decided to build the bridge ourselves.
Combining his clinical, medical expertise with my determination to create something premium, yet affordable that children actually want to use. The Kids Bathing Co. was born.
